Rev Graeme Licensing in Weardale

A number of people from St, Bartholomew’s and St, James travelled to Weardale to attend the Licensing and Installation of Graeme into his new Benefice.

The service was led by Archdeacon Rick Simpson and it took place at St. John the Baptist church in the village of St. John’s Chapel, on 17th February.

Graeme’s new role is to be Interim Minister Priest in Charge of the Benefice of Upper Weardale – 4 churches – and The diocesan Rural Mission Lead, over the next 3 years.

Weardale is a lovely valley with plenty of farms, tourism and moorland hills. The 4 village churches are spread along the valley. Graeme, Carol and her Mum live in one of the villages in a modern family home.

Please continue to pray for them as they adjust to their new surroundings and work.

Thanks to Helen for the photos of Graeme.
