Whit Sunday, also known as Whitsuntide is the Christian Holy Day of Pentecost. It falls on the 7th Sunday after Easter and commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon Jesus’ disciples, when they gathered together.
Shred’s Whit Walk began by all ages meeting in the church for hymns and prayers, with a photo taken overlooking the valley from the church yard.
Everyone then walked together around the surrounding fields and moors on a circular walk.
The walksers then joined together for a shared lunch. A good time was had by all!
