The Bishop of Worcester is pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd Joanna Baxter Fielding as Priest in Charge of the Benefice of East Vale and Avon Villages. Joanna is currently serving as Associate Priest in the Benefice of Marsden & Slaithwaite with East Scammonden in the Diocese of Leeds. She is married to David, a Professor in the Global Development Institute at Manchester University and they have two adult children.
A date for the Licensing in the Autumn will be confirmed in due course. Please remember Jo and David in your prayers as they prepare to move.

Oh Nooooo……. was my reaction to seeing this news just now- because I will be so sorry to lose you both from Slaithwaite and the Church. We have been so much blessed by your presence and service here – and at the beginning of Graeme’s Ministry here you were surely in the right place at the right time to support him and the three churches (you don’t have seven churches where you are going do you?) as we learn to live with a shared vicar.
But of course God knows best and if that is where he is calling you then I am sure it must be the right time and the right place for you to move on to. Our loss is their gain.
