Baptisms, which are also known as Christenings, are a gift of the Church to communicate God’s love to you. Anyone can be baptised, at any age. It can take a little bit of courage to come and ask, so in this video I hope to give you a bit more confidence to ask. Most importantly: you have the right to be Baptised in you local Parish Church
- If you live in the Parish of Marsden, you have the right to be Baptised at St Bartholomew’s
- If you live in the Parish of Slaithwaite, you have the right to be Baptised at St James
We hold Baptism services on a Sunday afternoon in Marsden and Slaithwaite and the service is about 30-40 minutes long, entirely focussed on celebrating your, or your child’s, Christening. Contact the Vicar for more details.
