Did you know that 1 in 5 homes in the UK experience domestic violence. Did you know that 1 in 4 parishes in the Church of England are investigating a priest or church officer about sexual abuse.
I take Safeguarding very seriously. The best way we can protect our children and vulnerable adults from abuse is for as many of us as possible to be trained and aware. The more of us who have done this training, the less chance there is that someone could take advantage of us. Please. Everyone. Take a look at this basic training… it takes 75 minutes and you get a certificate at the end.

Please, let’s make sure that Shred, St James, St Bartholomew’s and Home Church are places where abuse cannot happen. Let’s make sure we understand how important this is and ensure our churches are safe for children and vulnerable adults.
